Today the English teachers at Soong Ching Ling Kindergarten met to work with and discuss our new assessment methods with the IEYC curriculum. The teachers worked together in their level teams to discuss the past month’s learning over the IEYC unit “This is ME!”. 

Using pictures, anecdotes, and student work the teachers recorded their observations and standards practice for the unit. With many colorful and creative examples, the teachers showed that the students met the goals for the unit. This collaborative process allowed for the teachers to reflect on the past month and gain new ideas for their next units of practice.

This is all part of our new process for implementation of our new curriculum of the IEYC. The teachers showed great enthusiasm and teamwork in completing this first collaborative assessment meeting
