为了进一步加强消防安全工作，增强广大师生防火逃生的安全意识与能力，2018年9月25日，宋庆龄国际幼儿园邀请新北区消防支队的消防员叔叔们，同时请消防车直接开进校园，让消防员叔叔与全体小朋友真正面对面，让小朋友对消防员工作有更直观的了解和更感性的认识，掌握基本的消防知识，提高安全防范意识。

On September 25, 2018 Soong Ching Ling International Kindergarten invited firefighters from the Xinbei District Fire Department to discuss and demonstrate the duties of a firefighter and fire safety. This was good for informing teachers and students how to respond to, and escape from fire. After safely driving the fire engine directly onto the campus, the firefighters we up close and personal, so that the children can have a more intimate and full understanding of a firefighter’s work. The children had a chance to better understand fire safety precautions and procedures.

首先消防员叔叔给小朋友们讲解了消防车上的装备，例如：防毒面罩、氧气瓶、消防服、消防皮带、消防靴、消防帽的作用及灭火器的使用，听完叔叔的介绍，小朋友们都迫不及待的想要去摸一摸，看一看，试一试。在消防员叔叔的帮助下，勇敢地挑战者们也真实体验了一把 “小小消防员”的勇敢和辛苦。

First, the firemen explained what equipment can be found on the fire truck, such as a gas mask, oxygen tank, fire suit, fire belt, fire boots, and fire helmet. After listening to uncle's introduction of a fire extinguisher, the children are eager to feel and look at what it does. With the help of the firemen, a brave challenger has also experienced the brave and hard work of a "little fireman".

消防员叔叔模仿火灾现场施救，向小朋友们展示火灾时，消防员是如何高效安全的在满是浓烟的环境中，拯救被困人员的。

The firefighter imitated a fire scene and showed the children how efficient and safely the firemen saved the trapped people in a smoke-filled environment.

最后一个出场的是消防车上的最大法宝——高压水枪。消防员叔叔模拟火灾现场，演示了高压水枪的作业情况。水枪里的水一会儿压缩为水柱，喷出几十米远，一会儿变成喷洒状，喷得近但是灭火的面积很大。在看到高压水枪喷水的一瞬间，全场沸腾了，孩子们大声地为消防员叔叔鼓掌、欢呼。

The last feature of fire safety to make an appearance is the fire engine's high-pressure water hose. The firefighter simulated a fire scene and demonstrated the operation of the high-pressure water hose. The water in the hose is compressed in order to build pressure, sometimes coming out as a light spray, or heavy spray to cover a large area. When the children saw the water hose out and in action, the children couldn’t help but to applaud for the firemen.

消防员叔叔为小朋友上了一堂生动的安全教育课，使小朋友在快乐中体会到消防安全的重要性，增强消防安全意识和逃生自救技能。

The firefighters gave a vivid safety education lesson to the children, so that the children could realize the importance of fire safety and enhance the fire safety awareness and self-rescue skills.
