Soong Ching Ling International Kindergarten Changzhou held an open class this morning, June 5, in the field of English. The English teacher Lily taught a lesson about fruits and vegetables. SCL hosts open classes each week to strengthen teacher’s methods and promote the exchange of experiences among teachers at the school.

Kindergarten children are very interested in learning about fruits and vegetables, because they are words relevant to daily life. Lily designed an amusing class that made the childrenexcited to learn English. The children were able to practice many useful English phrases, both asking and answering questions. The children were happy to move around the classroom and play shop, "buying" and "selling" fruits and vegetables, which was an engaging activity that allowed the children to practice many real-life English phrases.

After the classes, the teachers held a meeting to discuss the objectives, key difficulties, and teaching procedures. The teacher humbly accepted the suggestions and all the English teachers discussed ways they could improve in the future.
