幼儿园大班是升入小学教育过渡的关键时期，具有承上启下的作用，如何让孩子顺利过渡小学的生活呢？做好幼小衔接工作，是至关重要的。

伴随着孩子们一天天的长大，宋庆龄国际幼儿园常州园大班的孩子们即将毕业，踏入小学的校门，他们对自己即将面临学习的地方——“小学”既感陌生又具有诱惑力，充满了好奇和期望。         The oldest kids of soong ching ling international kindergarten  will graduate this July.  They will attend primary school this Fall. The children have many feelings about "primary school" . They see it as strange , tempting, and full of curiosity. 

为了帮助孩子们全面、直观地了解小学，以积极的心态迎接小学生活，我园开展了一系列幼小衔接主题活动，今天全体大班幼儿排着整齐的队伍，怀着对小学的期待走进了龙城小学实地参观，让孩子们在活动中近距离的感受、体验小学生的学习生活。

This morning the children from IK5 went to visit a primary school! This school trip to the primary school is powerful and positive teaching tool that help enhance the social, personal and emotional development of all learners. 

通过这次幼小衔接活动，让孩子们提前熟悉了小学的学习环境，对小学生的学习、生活有了真实的体验，使孩子们萌生了对小学生活的向往之情，激发了孩子们的入学愿望，为他们自信从容地步入小学铺好了道路，我们有理由相信，不久的将来，小朋友们一定都能个个迈着自信、从容的步伐进入小学，开始新一轮的生活…    

School trips provide unique opportunities for kinaesthetic learning i.e. ‘learning by doing’ and encourage students to engage with buildings in new ways.This is particularly beneficial for many students who find visual and sensory experiences helpful to their learning and understanding. Children are able to enjoy and achieve in new engaging ways!
