Soong Ching Ling International Kindergarten Changzhou held an open class this morning, March 15, in the field of English. The English teacher Edgar took the children of IK2A to the magical blue ocean. SCL hosts open classes each week to strengthen teacher’s methods and promote the exchange of experiences among teachers at the school.

Kindergarten children are very interested in animal life and habitats. Edgar designed an amusing class that piques the interest in ocean life. Using TPR (Total Physical Response) and other methods, the children reacted very enthusiastically! 

The children also liked to move side-to-side and move like little crabs with each other while listening to music.   

The children liked to move around like crabs and snap their little hands! 

Through TPR, children can quickly recognize the meaning of the word and experience by doing whole -body actions.  After the classes, the teachers held a meeting to discuss the objectives, key difficulties, and teaching procedures. The teacher humbly accepted the suggestions and all the English teachers discussed ways they could improve in the future.
