Today the English teachers met to perform assessments and reflect on the IEYC units of October. This was a great opportunity for teachers to look back at their teaching from the month and think about what they did well and what they can improve on as educators. Through this collaborative process teachers were able to discuss the learning from the different IEYC units, including“Weather“Wonders“Ocean Treasures”and“Thisis Me!”
Teachers took turns sharing work from their units. Children’s work included identifying and expressing ocean animals for the “Ocean Treasures” unit, Making stories and weather mobiles for the “Weather Wonders” unit, and dioramas and flashcards to explore things in our daily lives for the “This is Me!” unit.
