农历正月十五是中国传统的元宵佳节，2019年2月19日上午宋庆龄国际幼儿园常州园开展了“正月十五闹元宵”主题活动，在“搓元宵”、“闹花灯”等传统活动的基础上精彩纷呈的庆祝活动出炉啦!

 The 15th day of the first lunar month is the Chinese Lantern Festival. In order for the to children experience folk customs of the Lantern Festival, the Soong Ching Ling hosted a series of activities to celebrate the Lantern Festival. On the morning of February 19, 2019, the children did age and skill appropriate activities to start our celebration!

元宵节绘本在旨让每个孩子了解元宵节的传说及来历，传统节日的有趣的习俗，孩子们在听完故事，还可以更进一步的了解中国的节日，感受传统之美。

孩子们一听说要自己做汤圆了，个个都欢呼雀跃!在行动之前，老师细心督促孩子们洗净双手，铺好桌布，行动!瞧!孩子们正在老师的组织下，挑战“搓元宵”哦!别看我们年龄小，手艺活儿可一点的也不含糊~一盘小元宵装满啦!

等孩子们吃到自己亲手做的汤圆，又会是滋味呢？相信一定是特别的香甜!

Lantern Festival picture books aim to let  children know the legend and history of the Lantern Festival, as well as the interesting customs of traditional festivals. The children can listen to the stories and further understand the importance the festival and participate in tradition.

The glutinous rice ball is must-have item of the Lantern Festival! When the children heard that they were going to make their own they all cheered! Before starting, the teacher carefully urged the children to wash their hands, spread the tablecloth, and get ready! The children are under the teacher's guidance. Teachers and aunties have prepared a soft ball of dough for the children! Although we are young, we will do our best! A plate slowly fills up! 

What will the children taste like when they have their own?

各个班级的老师还精心准备了有趣的小活动来和小朋友一起欢庆这美好的节日。

Teachers from different classes also prepared interesting small activities to celebrate this wonderful festival with the children.

They played games using pots and rings. They can practice their throwing skills and accuracy. Everyone tries their hardest and look for great results!

舞龙灯是元宵节流传于各地的民间社火表演，耍法不尽相同，但技艺风格却各有特色。这种习俗包含了跑步、健美、举重等现代体育元素，而且把臂、腿、眼、手等肌体的力量有效运动起来，把喜庆、健康、美好之意用到实处，也使节日里的参加者得到了强健的体魄和充沛的精神。

The Dragon Dance is a folk show that has spread from place to place. The custom involves effective exercise of the muscles of the arms, legs, eyes, hands, etc. The Lantern Festival, of course, involves lanterns and riddles.

 元宵节当然少不了闹花灯啦！哇!这个好看！这个也好看!哎呀!我的两只眼睛完全都不够用啦！快看!它们都是宝贝们在寒假和爸爸妈妈一起用自己的压岁红包亲手制作的喔!放眼望去，红红火火一片!小家伙们一下子都沸腾起来，好不欢喜地看着眼前独具匠心的花灯。猜灯谜，是中国独有的富有民族风格的一种传统民俗文娱活动形式，把谜语写在纸条上，贴在五光十色的彩灯上供人猜。

We can take a look at all of the pretty paper lanterns. They can make their own New Year's red envelope made by hand. Look around, and you will see red everywhere! The children talked and laughed as they tried to find the answers to the riddles on the lanterns. Guessing lantern riddles is a kind of traditional and recreational activity unique to China. The riddles are written on paper and pasted on colorful lights for guessing.

 此次元宵节系列主题活动，不仅加深了孩子们对我国传统节日的认识，也增强了他们对中国传统文化的热爱，进一步激发了孩子们的民族自豪感。在这美好的节日里，我们更祝愿宋幼这个大家庭就像元宵一样团团圆圆、和和美美，一起展望未来美好的生活。

The Lantern Festival not only deepens children's understanding of China's traditional festivals, but also strengthens their love of Chinese traditional culture;further stimulating their sense of national pride. In this beautiful festival, we look forward to a better life together.
