Soong Ching Ling International Kindergarten Changzhou held an open class this morning, April 6, 2021, in the field of English. The English teacher Chantelle taught a lesson about “objects and animals.”

SCL hosts open classes each week to strengthen teacher’s methods and promote the exchange of experiences among teachers at the school. Kindergarten children are very interested in learning about their community

Chantelle designed an interesting and joyful class that kept the children’s interest. Using TPR (Total Physical Response) and other methods, the children reacted very enthusiastically and where very excited as always.

Chantelle had the children play the “slap the flash cards” game, giving every students a chance to repeat the new words of the day regarding the topic.

After the classes, the teachers held a meeting to discuss the objectives, key difficulties, and teaching procedures. The teacher humbly accepted the suggestions and all the English teachers discussed ways they could improve in the future.
